ashamed to say was not at the time my strong point. In 1990 Susan left me (quite rightly) which was to lead to the biggest, and one of the only regrets in my life, in that I lost contact with my daughter for nearly 14yrs. Not only did I have to live with that guilt and pain, now having spoken to Kelly, I know it caused her a huge amount of pain and anguish which I deeply, deeply regret.
Throughout the 90s my DJ career blossomed, and I was lucky enough to work in many of the major cities such as Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Derby to name a few.
I loved being a DJ and still do. Music is in my soul, and using music as a creative tool to take people on a journey away from their hum drum lives, is not only a privilege, but a great pleasure. Being paid to have fun is a great job.
In 1997 I met Samantha, now my wife, and we had a superstar of a little boy James, in 1998. Being older and wiser, I was now ready for the responsibility of parenthood and grasped the opportunity with open arms not wishing to mess up this time James and Sam quickly became my raison d’être. In 2006 we were blessed with a beautiful little girl Millie-Rose, which made our family complete.
On the work front things just kept going from strength to strength. At the age of around 40, I was increasingly aware that I could not be a DJ forever and that a new avenue/career would have to be found. That new career would give birth to itself at a family BBQ at my sister’s house. My niece and nephew (twins) Jeorgie and Jay were having their 5th birthday party and my sister Julie and her husband Paul had booked a clown to entertain the children. Well a light bulb went off in my head and BIBBLEDY BOB the clown was born, which took my career off in a whole new direction. I found myself doing not only children’s parties, but also a lot of corporate work for huge companies like Landrover and Aldi. It also opened up the opportunity to get involved in acting. I landed a part in a short film “Pink” directed by Michael Baig Clifford (Double Bafta winner) and more recently have done TV work in London for Tiger Aspect.
So from what started out as a very poor existence has turned out to be a very good life. I am extremely lucky to have three beautiful children. I have a truly beautiful wife Samantha. I have a close family, a job that I adore doing, great friends who I travel the world with. I am very, very lucky indeed.
Since doing the film and TV stuff, I have now been accepted as a full member of Equity, which gets me access to lots of acting/TV/film opportunities to which, over the next few years, I intend to concentrate my efforts.
And the wrtiting? It’s always there in the background, I have put some of my work up on this site.
Finally to the amazing team that surround me thank you, Samantha, Stewart, John, Chris, Paul and Pam, K.T, Julie, Kevin (Devilish Dezine) and all who help make my life a complete blast, thank you all.
